A Shape Remembering Itself.
Description
One of one.
Hand-formed brass earrings constructed from a single continuous length of wire. The form is shaped into a controlled spiral, maintaining consistent tension and spacing throughout the curve.
Material:
solid brass
Dimensions:
approx. 2.5 inches in length
Weight:
lightweight
Process:
The wire is annealed to soften the metal, then shaped by hand into a continuous spiral. The form is refined through incremental adjustments to achieve balance and proportion. After shaping, the piece is work-hardened, filed, and progressively sanded. The surface is finished and polished by hand.
Construction:
continuous wire; no joints within the spiral
Care
Each piece is intended to be worn and maintained with care. To preserve the integrity of the metal, avoid prolonged exposure to water, moisture, and chemicals, and store in a dry environment when not in use.
Brass and sterling silver will naturally develop surface variation over time. A soft polishing cloth may be used to gently restore brightness as desired.
Each purchase includes a storage pouch or jewelry box, along with a polishing cloth for ongoing care and maintenance.
Design
Built around the idea of continuity, the collection uses uninterrupted line and open construction to create movement within rigid material.
